The idea for a new Masonic Lodge in the Denny Terrace community began to take form in the minds of a group of Masons in the late 1940s.

Worshipful Brother James W. Derrick, Past Master of Boyleston Lodge No. 123, was elected to be the first Master. The Senior Warden was Hazel Paul Le Grande of Columbia Lodge No. 326 and the Junior Warden was William Boyd Jordan, Sr. of Eau Claire Lodge No. 344.
